![]() ![]() A seemingly unimportant incident at the beginning of the game ripples throughout the galaxy and sparks events that could lead to the collapse of the existing political and social order. Suffice it to say that you're being hunted down by one group of enemies, while also tracking down a second group who, at least superficially, also seem to be your enemies. I'll omit any summary of the story here since the surprise in discovering what's happening and why is one of the main pleasures of the game. You again start as a slightly amnesiac Jedi who has to puzzle out his past while navigating the complex moral responsibilities presented by the latest threat to the galaxy. The story picks up five years after the events in the original game. But that's not surprising given the request we made after finishing the first game. There are some new surprises here and there but the developer's playing it safe by sticking to the same model. Though developed by Obsidian this time around, this sequel to 2003's Game of the Year won't seem too terribly different to players of the original. Well we finally have a new offline fix in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. ![]()
